Academy of Our Lady of Peace Varsity Pilots closed the gap by scoring on an error and a grand slam. Mission Hills Varsity Grizzlies jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Gracelyn Templeton singled, scoring two runs, Melanie Gonzales singled, scoring one run, Franki Redmond hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and Penelope Morales singled, scoring two runs. Samantha Gehler hit a grand slam, which helped Academy of Our Lady of Peace Varsity Pilots tie the game at six in the top of the fifth.
