San Juan Capistrano, CA — The @jserra.beachvolleyball team was in dominant form again on Tuesday, as the Lions shutdown the Mater Dei Monarchs, 5-0, in a Trinity League match at JSerra Catholic High School. JSerra has won six straight matches (four via shutout) and improves to 10-1 overall and 2-0 in league play. Juniors Sara Moynihan and Emma Champagne posted wins of 21-18 and 21-12, senior Ruby Hill and junior Skylar Noble were victorious by scores of 21-11 and 21-10, senior Grace Fogel and junior Presley Johnson won by identical scores of 21-10 and 21-10, sophomore Katherine Nowak and senior Nicole Thorp had triumphs of 21-12 and 21-8, and freshmen Kara Boas and Ava Champagne recorded dual wins of 21-11 and 21-11 to lead the Lions to the sweep. Sophomores Sarah Thorp and Kaitlyn Dostert won their exhibition match by scores of 21-7 and 21-16.
