Lebanon, TN — Station Camp Varsity Bison fell to Wilson Central 14-13 on Saturday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at 13 in the bottom of the seventh when Caden Webber hit a solo home run to left field. Station Camp collected 13 hits and Wilson Central had 11 in the high-scoring affair. Bison opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. Station Camp Bison first got on the board when Nate Parsons singled, scoring one run. Wilson Central flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring seven runs on three hits to take the lead, 7-3. The biggest blow in the inning was an error that drove in two. A double by Carter Spencer extended the Wilson Central lead to 8-4 in the bottom of the third inning. Station Camp tied the game in the top of the sixth thanks to a double by Nate Parsons, a single by Collin Gillispie, a walk by Alex Bottorff, and a single by Chris Adams. #25 earned the win for Wilson Central. The pitcher gave up zero hits and zero runs over one and one-third innings, striking out one and walking none. Jack Hammond pitched three innings in relief for Station Camp Varsity Bison. The hurler surrendered six hits and five runs (four earned) while, striking out none and walking one. Colton Coburn stepped on the hill first for Station Camp Varsity Bison. Noah Jenkins led Station Camp Varsity Bison with four hits in five at bats from the leadoff position. Nate Parsons and Collin Gillispie were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in three runs for Station Camp Varsity Bison. Isaac Weeks stole two bases.
