Cerritos, CA — By GameChanger Media Valley Christian defeated Miller Varsity Rebels 11-0 on Tuesday thanks in part to six runs in the fourth inning. Valley Christian got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Weston Lynott hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, RJ Estrada tripled, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run. Valley Christian added one run in the second. Miller Varsity Rebels dropped a third strike, making the score 5-0. Valley Christian scored six runs on five hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Quintin Ekstrom tripled, scoring two runs, Lucas Witt singled, scoring one run, Estrada singled, scoring one run, Mack Lynott singled, scoring one run, and Lincoln Slater hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. Riley Jones earned the win for Valley Christian. The starter gave up two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out 11 and walking three. Tyler Vazquez took the loss for Miller Varsity Rebels. The pitcher went one inning, giving up four runs (three earned) on two hits, striking out none and walking two. Angel Lopez and Raphael Sotello were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for Miller Varsity Rebels while hitting back-to-back. Estrada led Valley Christian with three runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Estrada and Ekstrom each collected two hits for Valley Christian. Valley Christian ran wild on the base paths, piling up six stolen bases for the game. Valley Christian didn't commit a single error in the field.
