Alta Loma, CA — Alta Loma Varsity Braves couldn't keep up with South Hills and fell 10-2 on Wednesday. South Hills got on the board in the top of the first inning after Wesley Manning grounded into a fielder's choice, and Diego Villarreal stole home, each scoring one run. South Hills scored five runs on three hits in the top of the third inning. Ayden Vieth hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Carson Baker singled, scoring one run, Victor Merlos tripled, scoring two runs, and a wild pitch scored one run. Elias Reyes earned the win for South Hills. The starting pitcher gave up four hits and one run (zero earned) over four innings, striking out two and walking none. Jake Zandbergen took the loss for Alta Loma Varsity Braves. The starter went five innings, surrendering eight runs (three earned) on eight hits, striking out four and walking one.
