Alta Loma Freshmen BRAVES fell to South Hills 6-1 on Wednesday.
Alta Loma Freshmen BRAVES were the first to get on the board in the second when Julian Gonzales grounded out, scoring one run.
Gomez singled to center field, which helped South Hills tie the game at one in the bottom of the second.
In the bottom of the third, South Hills broke up the tie when Jacob Pimentel induced Carter to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored. Then a single by Najera followed to extend the lead to 3-1.
Morales earned the win for South Hills. The starting pitcher allowed four hits and one run over seven innings, striking out five and walking two. Julian Gonzales took the loss for Alta Loma Freshmen BRAVES. The lefty went three and two-thirds innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on two hits, striking out none and walking seven. Jacob Pimentel began the game for Alta Loma Freshmen BRAVES. The pitcher allowed six hits and three runs over two and one-third innings, striking out none and walking three.
Jacob Cerecerez led Alta Loma Freshmen BRAVES with two hits in three at bats. Jacob Cerecerez stole two bases. Alta Loma Freshmen BRAVES turned one double play in the game.
Carter went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Mirabal went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead South Hills in hits. Romero led South Hills with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating 10 walks for the game. South Hills turned one double play in the game.
