Alta Loma, CA — By GameChanger Media Alta Loma Varsity Braves fell to San Dimas 12-7 on Wednesday. San Dimas got on the board in the top of the first inning after Jayden Claros singled to center field, Jayden Medina singled down the right field line, Aaden Escarcega walked, Jeremiah Holmes walked, Eleazar Santillan walked, and Vaughn Coleman grounded into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run. Noah Verkaik tripled to right field, which helped Alta Loma Varsity Braves tie the game at six in the bottom of the third. Alta Loma Varsity Braves took the lead in the bottom of the fourth. Silas Granados singled, scoring one run, to give Alta Loma Varsity Braves the leg up, 7-6. San Dimas made the score 9-7 in the top of the fifth after Wyatt Snook induced Santillan to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, and Coleman doubled, scoring two runs. Manuel Tinajero earned the win for San Dimas. The reliever allowed two hits and zero runs over three and one-third innings, striking out five and walking one. Snook took the loss for Alta Loma Varsity Braves. The pitcher went four innings, surrendering three runs on four hits, striking out three and walking two. Grant MacCharles led things off on the hill for Alta Loma Varsity Braves. The hurler allowed three hits and six runs over one-third of an inning, striking out none and walking three. Dean Brosterhouse began the game for San Dimas. The starter surrendered five hits and four runs over two innings, striking out one and walking none. Alta Loma Varsity Braves accumulated 11 hits in the game. Cody Primanto and Granados were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Alta Loma Varsity Braves while hitting back-to-back. Lukas Spence led Alta Loma Varsity Braves with three runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The infielder went 1-for-4 on the day. Alta Loma Varsity Braves turned one double play in the game. San Dimas collected 13 hits in the game. Coleman went 2-for-4 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Ashton Romero went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead San Dimas in hits. Medina and Escarcega each collected multiple hits for San Dimas. Coleman stole two bases.
