Fontana, CA — Strong Hitting Not Enough As ALHS FROSH 25 Falls To Summit Freshman Skyhawk

Even though ALHS FROSH 25 collected eight hits to Summit Freshman Skyhawk's five, they still fell 6-3 on Thursday. Joseph Armendariz and Jacob Pimentel each collected two hits for ALHS FROSH 25.
Summit Freshman Skyhawk got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after E Garcia was struck by a pitch, and M Uribe walked, each scoring one run.
A single by E Garcia, and an error helped Summit Freshman Skyhawk extend their early lead in the third.
ALHS FROSH 25 made the score 5-2 in the top of the fourth inning when Eddie Garbo singled, scoring one run, and Mason Dzama hit a solo home run to center field.
M Uribe earned the win for Summit Freshman Skyhawk. The starting pitcher surrendered five hits and two runs over five innings, striking out two and walking one. Cameron Hobbs took the loss for ALHS FROSH 25. The starter went two and one-third innings, giving up five runs on four hits, striking out none and walking two.
Luke Stevens and Mason Dzama each drove in one run for ALHS FROSH 25.
E Garcia provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Summit Freshman Skyhawk with two runs batted in. The catcher went 1-for-2 on the day. G Gutierrez went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Summit Freshman Skyhawk in hits.
ALHS FROSH 25 will travel to Yucaipa Freshman Thunderbirds for their next game on Saturday.
