South Pasadena, CA — South Pasadena Varsity Tigers had nine hits and solid pitching in a game that was ultimately lost in the seventh inning. Charlie Vogel continued his hot hitting, belting two hard-hit doubles. Diego Gurfein also had two hits which resulted in two RBIs. Aaron Kawasaki, solid as ever behind the dish, hit a double in the bottom of the fifth. Cody Robinson, Tate Mendoza, Isaiah Esquivel and Phil Malatesta each had singles. On the mound, Jon Bracamonte went 6+ innings, giving up only one earned run and striking out two. Robinson pitched the last inning. Despite the great effort by the Tigers, they ultimately came up short when El Rancho was able to put some offense together in the seventh inning. Tigers hope to bounce back on Thursday in a home game against California.
