Glendale, CA — Natalie Kan collected three hits in three at bats, as South Pasadena Varsity Tigers defeated Glendale 15-4 on Wednesday. Kan hit a home run to right field in the fourth inning, doubled in the first inning, and singled in the second inning. South Pasadena Varsity Tigers jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Lucia Atencio singled, scoring one run, and Racquel Dominguez doubled, scoring two runs. South Pasadena Varsity Tigers added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Jolene Wu tripled to right field, Kan singled down the left field line, Ava Dawson grounded out, and Dominguez tripled to center field, each scoring one run. South Pasadena Varsity Tigers added four more runs in the top of the third inning on four hits. Brooke Zeisler hit a solo inside the park home run, Wu doubled, scoring one run, Atencio doubled, scoring one run, and Jade Marquez induced Gemma Converse to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored. South Pasadena Varsity Tigers added three more runs in the top of the fourth inning on three hits. Adelaide Bertolina grounded out, scoring one run, and Kan homered to right field, scoring two runs. Atencio earned the win for South Pasadena Varsity Tigers. The right-handed pitcher gave up zero hits and two runs (zero earned) over three innings, striking out two and walking two. Natalie Minkler took the loss for Glendale. The starting pitcher went three innings, surrendering 11 runs on 14 hits, striking out two and walking none.
