South Pasadena Varsity Tigers opened the scoring in the bottom of the third thanks to three fielder's choices. South Pasadena Varsity Tigers first got on the board when Veronica Esparza induced Ava Dawson to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.
Lucia Atencio earned the win for South Pasadena Varsity Tigers. The right-handed pitcher surrendered two hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out nine and walking one. Esparza took the loss for South Gate. The pitcher went three innings, giving up three runs on two hits, striking out five and walking two.
Talula Bearden led the team with three runs batted in. Dawson led South Pasadena Varsity Tigers with two hits in four at bats. Jolene Wu stole two bases. South Pasadena Varsity Tigers were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Racquel Dominguez made the most plays with eight.
Barbara Siero and Esparza each collected one hit for South Gate. South Gate turned one double play in the game.
