Sun Valley, CA — Brooke Zeisler drove in four runs on three hits to lead South Pasadena Varsity Tigers past Polytechnic Varsity Panthers 8-4 on Saturday. Zeisler singled in the sixth scoring two, singled in the first scoring one, and doubled in the fifth scoring one. South Pasadena Varsity Tigers got on the board in the first inning after Zeisler singled, scoring one run. South Pasadena Varsity Tigers added one run in the second after Polytechnic Varsity Panthers committed an error. Polytechnic Varsity Panthers took the lead, 4-2, in the top of the fifth thanks to two errors. South Pasadena Varsity Tigers captured the lead, 6-4, in the bottom of the fifth when Racquel Dominguez doubled, scoring one run, Zeisler doubled, scoring one run, and Emma Becerra singled, scoring two runs. Lucia Atencio earned the win for South Pasadena Varsity Tigers. The starter gave up six hits and four runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one. Amelia Shih took the loss for Polytechnic Varsity Panthers. The pitcher went six innings, surrendering eight runs (six earned) on 10 hits, striking out 10 and walking one. South Pasadena Varsity Tigers tallied 10 hits in the game. Dominguez and Taelyn Adams each collected multiple hits for South Pasadena Varsity Tigers.
