La Cañada, CA — South Pasadena Varsity Tigers fell to La Canada 6-1 on Monday.
South Pasadena Varsity Tigers were the first to get on the board in the first when Talula Bearden singled, scoring one run.
La Canada captured the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the third after South Pasadena Varsity Tigers committed an error, and Bentley Lebrecque grounded into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run.
Grace Rocco earned the win for La Canada. The pitcher gave up one hit and one run over five innings, striking out 12 and walking three. Natalie Kan started in the circle for South Pasadena Varsity Tigers. The pitcher gave up eight hits and six runs (four earned) over five innings, striking out one and walking two.
Bearden led South Pasadena Varsity Tigers with one run batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-2 on the day.
South Pasadena Varsity Tigers will travel to San Marino Varsity Titans for their next game on Wednesday.
