Ottawa Lake, MI — OTTAWA LAKE – Whiteford set a school scoring record Saturday in the largest shutout win in school history.
The Bobcats had more than 600 yards of total offense, led 64-0 at halftime and had seven different players score touchdowns.
Rocco Pillarelli had 181 yards on seven carries, including TD runs of 37, 69 and 27. Brek Ruddy had two rushing touchdowns and three 2-point conversions while rushing for 78 yards. Drew Ruddy also had 78 yards on the ground. His two-point conversion catch broke the previous Whiteford record of 76 points in the third quarter.
Elijah Vance broke free on a 57-yard touchdown run on the final offensive play of the game to bring the score to 84-0.
The previous school record was 76 points scored against Summerfield in 1968 and Kalamazoo Loy Norrix in 2021.
Tre Eitniear had 100 passing yards, ran for a touchdown and returned an interception 43 yards for a first-quarter Bobcat TD.
Whiteford is 6-1 and 5-0 in the Toledo Area Athletic Conference with games remaining against Summerfield and Ottawa Hills.
