Aspyn Clark Drives 6 Runners Home In Show Low Varsity Cougars Victory Over Holbrook

Aspyn Clark drove in six runs on four hits to lead Show Low Varsity Cougars past Holbrook 19-3 on Tuesday. Clark hit a home run to center field in the second inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the second inning, scoring three.
Show Low Varsity Cougars scored 13 runs in the second inning on the way to victory. Gracie Umphress singled, scoring one run, Clark homered to center field, scoring three runs, Addisyn Clark singled, scoring one run, Tatum Townsend doubled, scoring one run, Riley Heuett doubled, scoring one run, Rylee Wyatt drew a walk, scoring one run, Clark singled, scoring three runs, Ari Rivera singled, scoring one run, and an error scored one run.
Show Low Varsity Cougars were the first to get on the board in the first when Clark singled, scoring one run.
Holbrook scored two runs in the top of the third on a home run to left field by T Baldonado.
Five more Show Low Varsity Cougars runs crossed the plate in the fourth inning to extend the lead to 19-3. Rivera doubled, scoring one run, Avery Ervien singled, scoring two runs, and Heuett homered to left field, scoring two runs.
Clark earned the win for Show Low Varsity Cougars. The starter gave up six hits and three runs over four innings, striking out six and walking two. Baldonado took the loss for Holbrook. The pitcher went one and two-thirds innings, giving up 14 runs (13 earned) on 12 hits, striking out none and walking three.
Show Low Varsity Cougars amassed 18 hits in the game. Clark and Rivera were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected four hits for Show Low Varsity Cougars. Heuett and Clark each collected multiple hits for Show Low Varsity Cougars. Angelee Villa, Clark, and Rivera each stole multiple bases for Show Low Varsity Cougars. Show Low Varsity Cougars ran wild on the base paths, piling up nine stolen bases for the game.
Baldonado provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Holbrook with two runs batted in. The number three hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. J Greer led Holbrook with two hits in three at bats from the leadoff position.
