Tucson, AZ — **Lady Lancers Shut Down Thunderbolts in 2-0 Victory** It was a pitchers’ duel on Thursday, but the Salpointe Catholic Varsity Lady Lancers came out on top, blanking the Mica Mountain Thunderbolts 2-0 in a statement win. Audri Elias was locked in on the mound, delivering five shutout innings while striking out five and allowing just four hits. The defense backed her up beautifully, keeping the Thunderbolts off the scoreboard and locking in another W. Salpointe wasted no time getting on the board—Leylani Cuesta crushed a double to center in the bottom of the first, and Molli Daley followed with a clutch RBI groundout to give the Lancers an early 2-0 lead that held the rest of the way. Cuesta was on fire at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3, while she and Daley each drove in a run.
