Beck Brenek starts the game for the Tigers
San Marino, CA — The South Pasadena Varsity Tigers lost a low-scoring affair against San Marino on Thursday, 3-0.
The pitching was solid, with four hurlers on the bump. Beck Brenek started the game, going two innings and giving up two runs. Evan Barreau and Phil Malatesta pitched an inning each, and Gabe Vogel closed out the game.
At the plate, Charlie Vogel was the highlight, hitting a double to left field in the second inning. Leo Castillo and Brandon Woo had a single apiece.
The Tigers head to San Diego this week to play in the Lions Tournament.
