South Pasadena, CA — The South Pasadena Varsity Tigers scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to beat non-league opponent St. Paul on Monday at home. St. Paul was ahead by two runs when Raphi Hall singled. Aaron Kawasaki singled to left, bringing home Nathan Olivares, who was on second. The next better was Charlie Vogel, who doubled on a line drive to left field, scoring Hall and Kawasaki. Other hits in the game came from Cody Robinson, Ethan Kim, and another single from Raphi Hall. The Tigers pitching was solid. Jon Bracamonte took the first three innings, followed by another three from Leo Castillo. Cody Robinson earned the save with a 1-2-3 inning in the seventh.
