Palo Cedro, CA — Enterprise Hornets had trouble keeping up with Foothill in a 9-3 loss on Friday. Foothill got on the board in the second inning after Hazel Gist singled, scoring one run. Elisea Wiegand earned the win for Foothill. The starting pitcher surrendered three hits and three runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out 16 and walking two. Shelby Hopper took the loss for Enterprise Hornets. The right-handed pitcher went six innings, allowing nine runs (five earned) on nine hits, striking out two and walking three. Sadie Ross drove the middle of the lineup, leading Enterprise Hornets with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Rachel Hess, Ross, and Hopper each collected one hit for Enterprise Hornets. Taylor Bates provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Foothill with three runs batted in. The catcher went 2-for-4 on the day. Bates and Gracie Park each collected two hits for Foothill. Enterprise Hornets welcome Red Bluff on Tuesday for their next game.
