Redding, CA — Enterprise Hornets fell to Red Bluff 10-5 on Tuesday. Red Bluff jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Mattison Kwarta doubled, scoring two runs, Camryn Dyke doubled, scoring one run, and Autumn Eakin grounded out, scoring one run. Kwarta hit a solo home run to center field in the top of the third for the Red Bluff. Kwarta earned the win for Red Bluff. The hurler allowed zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out four and walking one. Shelby Hopper took the loss for Enterprise Hornets. The starting pitcher went seven innings, giving up 10 runs on 10 hits, striking out five and walking six. Natalie Newport opened the game for Red Bluff. The hurler allowed six hits and five runs (zero earned) over five innings, striking out five and walking two. Sadie Ross provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Enterprise Hornets with two runs batted in. The third baseman went 1-for-3 on the day.
