The Zee-Bees were victorious against Lake Forest Varsity Scouts 4-2 on Tuesday at Lake Forest High School West Campus.
The Zee-Bees got on the board in the top of the first inning after Brayden Duran singled to left field, and Jack Marabella walked, each scoring one run.
Andrew Mitchell earned the win for Zion-Benton Varsity Zee-Bees. The hurler gave up five hits and one run over five innings, striking out none and walking one. Ross Ames collected the save.
AJ Neargarder, Sam Villarreal, Michael Gonzalez, and Duran each collected one hit for the Zee-Bees. Gonzalez, Duran, and Marabella each drove in one run for the Zee-Bees. The Zee-Bees had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating eight walks for the game. Dominic Diliberti and Trey Harmon led the team with two walks each.
Next up for Zion-Benton Varsity Zee-Bees is a game against Highland Park on Wednesday.
