Zion, IL — By GameChanger Media The Zee-Bees couldn't keep up with Highland Park Varsity Giants and fell 11-4 on Wednesday at Zion-Benton Township High School District 126. Julian Guzman took the loss for Zion-Benton The hurler went three innings, allowing eight runs (six earned) on six hits, striking out none and walking four. Michael Gonzalez began the game for the Zee-Bees. The starting pitcher surrendered six hits and three runs over three innings, striking out four and walking two. Ross Ames drove the middle of the lineup, leading the Zee-Bees with two runs batted in. The third baseman went 1-for-3 on the day. Ames, Trey Harmon, and Brayden Duran each collected one hit for Zion-Benton. The Zee-Bees had patience at the plate, collecting nine walks for the game.
