Lake Zurich, IL — The Zee-Bees had trouble keeping up with Lake Zurich Varsity Bears in a 13-2 loss on Monday at Lake Zurich High School. Andrew Mitchell took the loss for Zion-Benton Varsity Zee-Bees. The right-handed pitcher went four and two-thirds innings, surrendering seven runs (three earned) on 10 hits, striking out two and walking two. Number eight hitter, Trey Harmon, showed the depth of the Zee-Bees's lineup, by leading them with three hits in three at bats. Ross Ames and Harmon were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for the Zee-Bees. The Zee-Bees turned one double play in the game.
