Easton, PA — Easton Area Junior Varsity Rovers took Tuesday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 17-16 walk-off victory over Bethlehem Catholic. The game was tied at 16 in the bottom of the seventh when Andrei Pacheco drew a walk, scoring one run. Dom Crisci drove in six runners in the win. The infielder went 5-5 on the day. Easton Area Junior Varsity Rovers got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Miles Worthy was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Crisci singled, scoring one run, Josh Walkiewicz tripled, scoring three runs, and an error scored one run. A single by Crisci extended the Easton Area Junior Varsity Rovers lead to 8-3 in the bottom of the second inning. Bethlehem Catholic flipped the game on its head in the top of the sixth, scoring five runs on three hits to take the lead, 15-14. In the bottom of the seventh inning, Easton Area Junior Varsity Rovers went back into the lead after Crisci singled, Nicholas Hall singled, and Pacheco walked, each scoring one run. Jaxton Gares earned the win for Easton Area Junior Varsity Rovers. The reliever surrendered zero hits and one run (zero earned) over one inning, striking out two and walking one. Albert Nova began the game for Easton Area Junior Varsity Rovers. The starter allowed zero hits and three runs over three innings, striking out eight and walking six. Jackson Gubich, Crisci, and Zachary Sherwood each appeared in relief for Easton Area Junior Varsity Rovers. Next up for Easton Area Junior Varsity Rovers is a game against Phillipsburg on Wednesday.
