Rochester, MI — Powerful Pitching Performance From Lilley Lutzka Carries Adams Varsity Highlanders Past Rochester Varsity Falcons

Lilley Lutzka was dominant in the circle, as the hurler rang up 11 strikeouts in Adams Varsity Highlanders's 13-0 victory over Rochester Varsity Falcons on Wednesday at Rochester Adams High School. Lutzka gave up zero hits and zero runs over five innings while walking three.
Adams Varsity Highlanders won thanks in part to seven runs in the third inning. Makenzie Grimes singled, scoring one run, Grace Osterholzer induced Tenley Boughner to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Stella Phillips drew a walk, scoring one run, Lutzka doubled, scoring three runs, and Elle Moody hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.
Adams Varsity Highlanders got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Phillips laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run, Olivia Viazanko singled, scoring one run, Alexis Contreraz doubled, scoring two runs, and Abigail Young drew a walk, scoring one run.
Osterholzer took the loss for Rochester Varsity Falcons. The starter went two and one-third innings, giving up 11 runs on six hits, striking out none and walking six.
Adams Varsity Highlanders collected 10 hits in the game. Lutzka drove the middle of the lineup, leading Adams Varsity Highlanders with three runs batted in. The pitcher went 2-for-3 on the day.
