Highland, CA — By GameChanger Media Nate Lora drove in six runs on four hits to lead Miller Varsity Rebels past Entrepreneur 25-0 on Thursday. Lora singled in the first scoring two, tripled in the third scoring two, doubled in the first scoring one, and singled in the second scoring one. Ilya Ridge struck out 12 batters on the day. The pitcher also gave up one hit and zero runs over five innings while walking one. Miller Varsity Rebels got on the board in the top of the first inning after Elian Salas drew a walk, scoring one run, Lora doubled, scoring one run, Raphael Sotello hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, David Trujillo doubled, scoring three runs, and Lora singled, scoring two runs. Miller Varsity Rebels scored seven runs on six hits in the top of the second inning. Michael Castillo singled, scoring two runs, Adrian Quintana singled, scoring one run, Lora singled, scoring one run, and Sotello tripled, scoring three runs. Miller Varsity Rebels added to their early lead in the top of the third inning when Quintana singled, scoring one run, Lora tripled, scoring two runs, and Tyler Vazquez was struck by a pitch, driving in a run. #3 took the loss for Entrepreneur. The hurler went one and two-thirds innings, surrendering 15 runs on 10 hits, striking out one and walking six. Miller Varsity Rebels piled up 26 hits in the game. Quintana, Castillo, Angel Lopez, Collin Washa, Sotello, and Trujillo each collected multiple hits for Miller Varsity Rebels. Liam Good led Miller Varsity Rebels with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating 10 walks for the game. #13 led Entrepreneur with one hit in two at bats.
