Dryden, MI — Akron-Fairgrove Varsity Vikings had trouble keeping up with Dryden in a 13-4 loss on Monday. Dryden got on the board in the bottom of the second inning after Santi Perales singled down the right field line, and Akron-Fairgrove Varsity Vikings committed an error, each scoring one run. Akron-Fairgrove Varsity Vikings captured the lead, 4-2, in the top of the third when Jeff Diehl drew a walk, scoring one run, and Deegan Walstead doubled, scoring three runs. Dryden flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring six runs on three hits to take the lead, 8-4. The biggest blow in the inning was an error that drove in two.
