Ridgefield were the first to get on the board in the second when PlayerI singled, scoring one run. Ridgefield added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after PlayerC singled to right field, PlayerE singled to left field, and Westhill Freshman Vikings committed an error, each scoring one run. Westhill Freshman Vikings flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring seven runs on four hits to take the lead, 7-4. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Gavin Cooper that drove in two. Christopher D'Ambrosio pitched four innings in relief for Westhill Freshman Vikings.
