Ian Ash tripled in the first inning, doubled in the third inning, singled in the fifth inning, and singled in the sixth inning. Westhill Freshman Vikings scored seven runs in the first inning on the way to victory. Jake Thielen singled, scoring one run, Jayden Torres drew a walk, scoring one run, Justin Rosencrans singled, scoring one run, Owen Hodson singled, scoring one run, Ian Ash tripled, scoring two runs, and Ethan Lapine singled, scoring one run. Darien got on the board in the top of the first inning after PlayerC singled down the right field line, PlayerE grounded out, and PlayerF grounded out, each scoring one run. A ground out by Jayden Torres extended the Westhill Freshman Vikings lead to 8-4 in the bottom of the second inning. Westhill Freshman Vikings added one run in the third after Ian Ash doubled. Christopher D'Ambrosio stepped on the mound first for Westhill Freshman Vikings. The southpaw gave up four hits and four runs (three earned) over five and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking one. Owen Hodson threw one and one-third innings of zero-run ball for Westhill Freshman Vikings in relief. The right-handed pitcher surrendered three hits, striking out none and walking none. Westhill Freshman Vikings collected 19 hits in the game. Justin Rosencrans, Jake Thielen, Owen Hodson, Daniel Fayer, and Paul Nanos each collected multiple hits for Westhill Freshman Vikings.
