Ridgefield got on the board in the top of the first inning after Clausen singled to center field, Fixler tripled to center field, and Cunningham hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run. Westhill Junior Varsity Vikings flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring eight runs on four hits to take the lead, 8-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Drew Babore that drove in two. Daurin Arias earned the win for Westhill Junior Varsity Vikings. The righty allowed six hits and six runs over three and one-third innings, striking out one and walking three. Ruggerio took the loss for Ridgefield. The hurler went three innings, giving up 11 runs (zero earned) on seven hits, striking out three and walking two. Charlie Combest collected the save. Elliot Nerenberg and Brayden Slocum each appeared in relief for Westhill Junior Varsity Vikings. Westhill Junior Varsity Vikings tallied nine hits in the game. Drew Babore led Westhill Junior Varsity Vikings with three runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The center fielder went 2-for-3 on the day.
