Fairfield, CT — By GameChanger Media Despite a 7-run deficit in the third inning, Newtown Varsity Nighthawks almost came all the way back, eventually falling 11-10 to Ludlowe Falcons Varsity on Tuesday at Kiwanis Field. Newtown Varsity Nighthawks closed the gap by scoring on a single, a single, a walk, a double, and a single. Wes Keayes collected three hits in three at bats in the loss. Wes Keayes singled in the first inning, singled in the sixth inning, and singled in the fifth inning. Newtown Varsity Nighthawks opened the scoring in the first after Wes Keayes singled, scoring two runs.
