Pine Bush, NY — The Pine Bush girls’ lacrosse team continued their dominant start to the season with an 18-4 win over New Paltz. A strong offensive performance, led by Lillian Atria’s six-goal effort, propelled the Bushmen to their second straight victory.
Katie Cragan found the back of the net four times, while Fiona Varley and Mackenzie Brown each scored twice. Anneliese Vitale, Madeline Doyle, Camryn Kodgis, and Leah Meberg all added a goal apiece to round out the balanced scoring attack.
On the defensive end, Pine Bush was relentless, limiting New Paltz’s chances thanks to the efforts of Alessandra Pierpoint and Leah Meberg. Goalkeeper Grace Grant was solid in net, making seven saves to keep New Paltz in check.
Pine Bush moves to 2-0 on the season and looks ahead to a Section 1 matchup with Wappingers.
