Hopewell Junction, NY — The Pine Bush girls’ lacrosse team put up a tough fight against a strong Wappingers squad but came up short in a 17-11 loss. Despite the setback, the team showed resilience and determination throughout the game. Katie Cragan led the offense with five goals, while Anneliese Vitale and Fiona Varley each scored twice. Lillian Atria and Mackenzie Brown also found the back of the net with one goal apiece. Grace Grant made seven saves in goal, and the team continued to compete until the final whistle. Though Wappingers proved to be a tough opponent, Pine Bush showed grit and effort in all areas of the game. With the loss, Pine Bush moves to 2-1 on the season and will look to bounce back in their next matchup.
