Shelton Varsity Gaels got on the board in the top of the first inning after Sammi Denihan singled to center field, Sabrina Plyler stole home, and Avery Wheeler grounded out, each scoring one run. Shelton Varsity Gaels extended their early lead with two runs in the top of the second thanks to RBI singles by Sadie Balocca and Jeanise Serrano. Shelton Varsity Gaels added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Avery Wheeler grounded out, Salina Clemente walked, and Sadie Balocca walked, each scoring one run. Shelton Varsity Gaels scored nine runs on seven hits in the top of the fourth inning. Avery Wheeler drew a walk, scoring one run, Abby Montero tripled, scoring three runs, Tori Silva singled, scoring one run, Sadie Balocca doubled, scoring one run, Jeanise Serrano singled, scoring one run, and Sammi Denihan singled, scoring two runs.
