Bay City, MI — Akron-Fairgrove Varsity Vikings couldn't keep up with All Saints Central and fell 12-0 on Wednesday. All Saints Central jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after J Hartman singled, scoring two runs, H Essex singled, scoring one run, D Paul singled, scoring two runs, and a steal of home scored one run. All Saints Central added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning when B Williams grounded out, scoring two runs, and a passed ball scored one run. All Saints Central added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning when J Wetters singled, scoring one run, and Hartman drew a walk, scoring one run. B Pease earned the win for All Saints Central. The reliever allowed zero hits and zero runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking none. Deegan Walstead took the loss for Akron-Fairgrove Varsity Vikings. The starter went three innings, giving up 12 runs (11 earned) on 11 hits, striking out four and walking three. All Saints Central amassed 11 hits in the game. Hartman drove the middle of the lineup, leading All Saints Central with two runs batted in. The number three hitter went 1-for-2 on the day.
