Downs singled in the second inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the fifth inning. The bottom of the lineup was strong for Skyview Varsity Hawks. Joe Bernal, Downs, and Keegan Sullivan combined for four of the team's eight hits in their victory. They scored six runs and drove in two. Skyview Varsity Hawks opened the scoring in the top of the second thanks to two singles. Skyview Varsity Hawks first got on the board when Downs singled, scoring two runs. Skyview Varsity Hawks added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Sullivan doubled, and Downs singled to the left side of the infield, each scoring one run.
