Anahiem, CA — Fullerton Varsity Tribe defeated Canyon del Oro Varsity Dorados 8-2 on Thursday thanks in part to five runs in the first inning. Abby Lee singled, scoring one run, Ava Flores singled, scoring two runs, Melia Vera singled, scoring one run, and Amelia Streuber induced Kaylyn Yi to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored. Two more Fullerton Varsity Tribe runs crossed the plate in the second inning to extend the lead to 7-0. Malaya Majam-Finch hit a solo home run to center field, and an error scored one run.
