Fairfield, CT — The Stratford Baseball JVs visited ND Prep today & came away with a solid team effort beating the Lancers 15-0 in a 5 inning shortened game. Freshman Hayden Natale took the ball, scattered 4 hits, struck out 6, & got final help on the shutout by Junior Jaykell Hernandez who came in to K the last ND batter. Stratford had a balanced 9 hit attack, drew 12 walks, & played solid team defense. Pacing the Stratford attack were Soph Aiden Gonzalez (1 hit, 2 runs, 2 RBI), Soph Julian Rivera (2 hits, 1 run, 1 RBI), Frosh Zach Spence (2 hits, 2 runs, 1 RBI) & Jaykell Hernandez (2 hits, 2 runs. 3 RBI). Coach Sarantides marveled post-game on how good the team played together & how solid the effort was by the boys.
