Troy, MI — Elle Moody Drives 4 Runners Home In Adams Varsity Highlanders Victory Over Mott Marauders By GameChanger Media Elle Moody drove in four runs on three hits to lead Adams Varsity Highlanders past Mott Marauders 10-9 on Saturday at 4333 John R Road Troy, MI. Moody singled in the third inning, scoring three runs, and tripled in the sixth inning, scoring two. Adams Varsity Highlanders collected 12 hits and Mott Marauders had eight in the high-scoring affair. Adams Varsity Highlanders got on the board in the first inning after Stella Phillips laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run. Adams Varsity Highlanders extended their early lead with four runs in the top of the third thanks to RBI singles by Moody and Olivia Viazanko. Mott Marauders scored six runs on four hits in the bottom of the sixth inning. Miley Xiong singled, scoring two runs, Kendra Koski tripled, scoring two runs, Payton Ramsey hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and Josie Aiuto singled, scoring one run. Lilley Lutzka earned the win for Adams Varsity Highlanders. The right-handed pitcher surrendered five hits and six runs (three earned) over five innings, striking out eight and walking five. Tyla Thomas took the loss for Mott Marauders. The pitcher went two and one-third innings, surrendering five runs on five hits, striking out three and walking three. Viazanko appeared in relief for Adams Varsity Highlanders. Adams Varsity Highlanders collected 12 hits in the game. Moody and Tenley Boughner each collected three hits for Adams Varsity Highlanders. Mia Kahl and Viazanko each collected multiple hits for Adams Varsity Highlanders. Moody stole two bases. Adams Varsity Highlanders stole four bases in the game.
