San Marcos, CA — On Wednesday afternoon, the Lancer Varsity Linksmen travelled east to battle the San Marcos HS Knights at The Links at the Lakehouse (formerly St. Mark's Golf Club) in San Marcos. This was a makeup match for a rainout earlier in the season. These teams are very familiar with each other, even though in different leagues. Despite the course being in the shadows of San Marcos HS, the Lancers played today as if this was their home course - besting the Knights by a score of 174 to 183. The Lancer team score was a combined 1 under par for the 5 counting scores! Leading the day for the Lancers once again was sophomore sensation Kaden Chang, who started his round with an eagle 2 on the 310 yard par 4 1st hole, then reeled off 5 more birdies for a 7 under par round of 28! That, my friends, is called "golfing your ball"... The Lancers will once again go on the road on Thursday to play against the Canyon Crest Academy Ravens at Lomas Santa Fe CC in Solana Beach.
