Goodrich, MI — Jayden Gohs hit two home runs and drove in three as Goodrich Varsity Martians defeated Lansing Catholic Varsity Cougars 4-0 on Monday at Goodrich High School. Gohs homered in the first and third innings. Gohs struck out 12 batters on the day. The right-handed pitcher also allowed three hits and zero runs over seven innings while walking two. Goodrich Varsity Martians got on the board in the first inning after Gohs homered to left field, scoring two runs. Two more Goodrich Varsity Martians runs crossed the plate in the third inning to extend the lead to 4-0. Gohs hit a solo home run to center field, and Olivia Bartlett singled, scoring one run.
