A triple by Jackson Thomas following a 6-pitch at-bat put Byron Center Freshman Bulldogs on the board in the top of the first. Caledonia Fighting Scots (Freshmen) captured the lead, 4-1, in the bottom of the first when Logan Pratt grounded out, scoring one run, Eli Jurmu doubled, scoring two runs, and Sawyer Tague grounded out, scoring one run.
