Caledonia, MI — Jenison Varsity Wildcats scored six runs in the seventh inning, which helped them defeat Caledonia Fighting Scots (Varsity) 10-0 on Tuesday.
Jenison Varsity Wildcats opened the scoring in the third after Case Bosch singled, scoring one run.
Jenison Varsity Wildcats scored six runs on three hits in the top of the seventh inning. AJ Park singled, scoring one run, Ben Slagter singled, scoring two runs, Brayden Hilaski singled, scoring one run, Brady Marklevitz hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and Talen Verburg induced Parker Felgner to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.
Bosch earned the win for Jenison Varsity Wildcats. The left-handed pitcher gave up four hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out 12 and walking one. Garrett Johnson took the loss for Caledonia Fighting Scots (Varsity). The starting pitcher went five innings, allowing four runs on four hits, striking out seven and walking three.
Ethan Sova went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Caledonia Fighting Scots (Varsity) in hits.
