Byron Center, MI — Both teams were strong on the mound on Tuesday, but Byron Center Bulldogs was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 3-2 victory over Caledonia Fighting Scots (Varsity). Cam Myers started the game for Caledonia Fighting Scots (Varsity) and recorded three outs.
Byron Center Bulldogs were the first to get on the board in the first when Myers induced Tate Bainbridge to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.
A ground out by Carter Ricketts extended the Byron Center Bulldogs lead to 2-0 in the bottom of the second inning.
A single by Drew Pojeski extended the Byron Center Bulldogs lead to 3-0 in the bottom of the third inning.
Jake Hill earned the win for Byron Center Bulldogs. The pitcher allowed four hits and two runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out seven and walking two.
