Caledonia, MI — East Grand Rapids Freshman Pioneers scored six runs in the fourth inning, which helped them defeat Caledonia Fighting Scots (Freshmen) 10-4 on Monday at Caledonia.
East Grand Rapids Freshman Pioneers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Porter Brooks singled down the left field line, and Charlie Dublis walked, each scoring one run.
A double by McEwen Gould extended the East Grand Rapids Freshman Pioneers lead to 4-0 in the top of the second inning.
East Grand Rapids Freshman Pioneers scored six runs on two hits in the top of the fourth inning. An error scored one run, Landon Stadel drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored one run, George Tesseris drew a walk, scoring one run, Brooks was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and an error scored one run.
