Caledonia, MI — Even though Caledonia Fighting Scots (Freshmen) collected five hits to East Grand Rapids Freshman Pioneers's four, they still fell 11-3 on Monday at Caledonia. Brennan Burns, Caleb Sheldon, Jimmy Holmes, Brody Gasciogne, and Sawyer Tague each collected one hit for Caledonia Fighting Scots (Freshmen). East Grand Rapids Freshman Pioneers got on the board in the top of the second inning after Jack Cramer doubled down the left field line, and East Grand Rapids Freshman Pioneers scored on a passed ball, each scoring one run. A walk by McEwen Gould extended the East Grand Rapids Freshman Pioneers lead to 3-1 in the top of the third inning. East Grand Rapids Freshman Pioneers scored eight runs on two hits in the top of the fourth inning. Elliot Reggiani singled, scoring one run, George Tesseris drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Gould lined out, scoring one run, an error scored three runs, and a passed ball scored one run. Cramer earned the win for East Grand Rapids Freshman Pioneers. The pitcher surrendered five hits and three runs (one earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking two.
