Thursday's game against McMahon was a heartbreaker for Westhill Junior Varsity Vikings, as they lost the lead late in an 8-6 defeat. The game was tied at six in the top of the eighth when Rice singled, scoring two runs.
Westhill Junior Varsity Vikings lost despite out-hitting McMahon 10 to seven. Jayden Jones led Westhill Junior Varsity Vikings with four hits.
McMahon got on the board in the third inning after a steal of home scored one run.
McMahon committed an error, which helped Westhill Junior Varsity Vikings tie the game at one in the bottom of the third.
McMahon captured the lead, 3-1, in the top of the fourth after Westhill Junior Varsity Vikings committed an error, and Urena singled to the left side of the infield, each scoring one run.
