Stamford, CT — By GameChanger Media Even though Westhill Varsity Vikings collected eight hits to Norwalk's five, they still fell 9-4 on Friday. Tanner Rooney and Remington Anderson each collected two hits for Westhill Varsity Vikings. Norwalk got on the board in the top of the first inning after Logan Parra induced Jacob Fields to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Matt Rinaldi doubled, scoring one run, Dylan Izzi singled, scoring two runs, and Frank Bergin grounded out, scoring one run. Logan Parra started the game for Westhill Varsity Vikings. The left-handed pitcher allowed three hits and five runs over one inning, striking out one and walking three. Chase DePalma started on the mound for Norwalk. The righty allowed three hits and two runs (one earned) over two innings, striking out one and walking one. Tanner Rooney, Remington Anderson, Matthew Brucker, and Aidan Dube each drove in one run for Westhill Varsity Vikings. Frank Bergin and Dylan Izzi were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Norwalk. Antwan Cardona, Frank Bergin, David Harry, Matt Rinaldi, and Dylan Izzi each collected one hit for Norwalk. Norwalk had patience at the plate, accumulating eight walks for the game. Keving Gordon, David Harry, and Jaiden Singh led the team with two walks each. David Harry stole two bases. Norwalk ran wild on the base paths, piling up six stolen bases for the game.
