Westhill Junior Varsity Vikings easily dispatched Norwalk on Friday, 11-4.
A walk by D Forte put Norwalk on the board in the top of the second.
A single by Patrick Rosencrans gave Westhill Junior Varsity Vikings the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the third.
Norwalk captured the lead, 3-2, in the top of the fourth after M Harry singled to center field, and J Goldman walked, each scoring one run.
James Mullen singled to center field, which helped Westhill Junior Varsity Vikings tie the game at three in the bottom of the fourth.
Norwalk took the lead in the top of the fifth. D Forte singled, scoring one run, to give Norwalk the advantage, 4-3.
Westhill Junior Varsity Vikings flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fifth, scoring five runs on six hits to take the lead, 8-4. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Charlie Combest that drove in one.
Aidan Mulcahey earned the win for Westhill Junior Varsity Vikings. The righty surrendered three hits and one run over three and two-thirds innings, striking out eight and walking four. D Forte took the loss for Norwalk. The righty went six innings, giving up 11 runs (five earned) on 12 hits, striking out seven and walking one. Charlie Combest started the game for Westhill Junior Varsity Vikings. The right-handed pitcher allowed three hits and three runs (two earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out four and walking five.
Westhill Junior Varsity Vikings collected 12 hits in the game. Daurin Arias, Blake Cortell, and Christian Pellitier each collected two hits for Westhill Junior Varsity Vikings.
