Westhill Freshman Vikings beat Wilton 4-3 on Monday.
Wilton were the first to get on the board in the third when PlayerD hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.
Westhill Freshman Vikings made the score 4-1 in the top of the fifth after Justin Rosencrans singled, scoring one run, Owen Hodson singled, scoring one run, and Jayden Torres doubled, scoring two runs.
Justin Rosencrans stepped on the bump first for Westhill Freshman Vikings. The starter gave up three hits and three runs (one earned) over four and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking three. Jake Thielen pitched two and one-third innings of zero-run ball for Westhill Freshman Vikings in relief. The hurler allowed one hit, striking out three and walking none.
Jayden Torres led Westhill Freshman Vikings with two runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The catcher went 1-for-2 on the day. Justin Rosencrans, Owen Hodson, Daniel Fayer, and Jayden Torres each collected one hit for Westhill Freshman Vikings. Justin Rosencrans stole two bases.
PlayerD provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Wilton with two runs batted in. PlayerB went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Wilton in hits.
